5 TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE RIGHT WEDDING VENDORS FOR YOU

As a newly engaged couple, we know that the process of wedding planning can be an overall overwhelming experience.

You need to book a venue, photographers, florists, caterers… the list goes on and there are so many choices to make.

To help ease the vendor searching process, our photography experts have come up with five tips to help you choose the right wedding vendors for you:

  1. Start your research early on. We always recommend couples to start reaching out to vendors earlier than later due to the increasing demand of weddings after the pandemic. Don't wait until the last minute - trust us! You want to have plenty of time to compare options and make decisions without feeling the stress of time ticking away. Keep an eye out for online reviews and ask for recommendations from vendors like photographers and planners!

  2. Set a budget range. Each couple has different priorities. We recommend listing your vendors in their importance. This will help give you a clear idea of how much you are willing and wanting to spend on each vendor.

  3. Create your wedding style and aesthetics. Once you nail down an overall aesthetic and atmosphere, you’ll be able to pin point vendors who align with your vision. We recommend using Pinterest, Instagram and Tiktok for creating your mood boards for your vendors.

  4. Meet with vendors: Whether in person or on the phone, it's so important to get a sense of a vendor's personality and working style before hiring them. Meeting with a vendor for a consultation will give you the opportunity to ask questions and confirm your comfortability working with them.

  5. Always trust your gut. If you’re seeing red flags in the booking process, it’s probably best to go a different direction. Trust your instincts and choose vendors that can confidently do their job and make the experience as stress-free as possible for you.
